Soldiers – Kids

It is a great challenge for me to tell the story of the place I come from.

The subjects in this body of work are anonymous and the viewer does not recognize them.

In each one of the subjects I see a representation of myself, though I wish to become invisible so people could see their own self reflected by the subjects.

Truth is a paradox. The faces of the subjects are unaware of their scary appearance. They seem as though they are smiling, willing to accept their own chosen destiny with a certain kind of serenity and grace. Their faces are mysterious and deceiving.
